How We Started

Holli had owned flower shops for most of her life. Carly wanted nothing to do with it until Holli sold one, and suddenly Carly realized she was supposed to inherit it. Oops.
About 16 years ago, friends of ours decided they didn't want their flower shop anymore. At the time, we were working for someone else at another Fort Worth shop, watching the new owners make decisions we thought were questionable. We looked at each other and said: let's just do our own thing.
So we bought the shop from our friends. We've expanded through four different storefronts in the same shopping strip since then, growing bigger each time. Holli is our Queen Flower Snob. Carly is Head Flower Snob and Chaos Coordinator, which describes most days here.

There's No Typical Day

If you're looking for routine, this isn't it.
Customers show up at 8:45 AM in full panic mode because they decided they needed flowers for a random Wednesday Justice of the Peace wedding. We open at 9. We made it happen.
Two weeks ago, someone called needing party flowers in an hour. We delivered the order in 55 minutes. Another call that same week needed 25 arrangements in three hours, including filling piñatas with flowers instead of candy. We turned our shop into a fiesta assembly line.
Last Saturday morning, a mom rushed in because she forgot baby shower flowers. Within two hours, she bought out our entire cooler while we rearranged everything into her color scheme. We felt like those barbecue joints that somehow sell out first thing.
Challenges don't stress us out. Our goal is to make everyone who walks through the door feel empowered, whether they buy anything or not. Laugh a little, feel inspired, leave happier than when you arrived. We also have a giant gift shop with high-end finds and snarky cards.

Why We Care About Every Order

Sympathy work is Carly's focus. When someone orders flowers for a mother's funeral, we don't treat it like just another order. We send pictures back and forth. We make sure the family loves it. We want those final memories to say exactly what needs to be said.
One woman passed away, and her family brought us 29 antique cat pins from her collection. We wired every single one into different arrangements, and when she was laid to rest, she held a bouquet of them. Being part of memories like that is why we do this.
We've done baby showers for people whose proms we handled years ago. Watched kids grow from kindergarten to college graduation. Went to a customer's 70th birthday party recently where our whole crew showed up, and she made name tags for everyone that said "Flower Snobs."

Our Community Ties

Two years ago, Carly spent 40 days in the hospital receiving cancer treatment on Floor 7, the oncology floor at our main Fort Worth hospital. When you're in a hospital bed for that long, you notice what people need and what they don't have.
So we started making Healing Bags of Hope. Our team does assembly lines, stuffing bags with phone chargers, coloring books, and comfort items. We send them to Floor 7 for patients going through treatment. It has nothing to do with flowers, but it's the right thing to do.

We support Wish with Wings, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Center for Blood Cancers and Disorders, and almost every charity that asks. We've done Chowtown Balls multiple times. We work with Greenwood Funeral Home, Loreland, Thompson Harvest & Co, and venues like The Drover, Springs at Weatherford, Ashton Depot, Fort Worth Club, and the Worthington. We're all over TCU and the private schools nearby.
